The Governors Centre is a joint initiative by Sydney Girls High School (SGHS) and Sydney Boys High School (SBHS). It grew from the need to provide facilities to further enhance both schools’ educational opportunities and demand for performance, examination and future focused learning spaces. It provides a state of the art teaching facility which frames a new public entry and face of both schools, creating a dynamic and active street frontage on Cleveland Street.

The Governors Centre includes a theatre/ auditorium with raked seating for 400 people and an examination/ teaching hall to seat 200 students. It is designed to maximise flexibility and offers an adaptable facility that will respond to the changing educational needs of the schools.
