The Esther Tuckey Library provides contemporary reading and study facilities for the students of Frensham. Replacing an earlier library the new building has become the key hub for the school and includes a spacious reading and study area; book stack facilities; staff offices and work rooms.

A simple rectangular masonry form with face brick and render walls, the new building’s form, scale, and materials complement its surrounding buildings and presents to the northern courtyard as an elegant formal colonnade, linking the West Wing Building and the School Hall – traditional buildings from the 1920s and 1930s.

The new library has a classical and timeless character, while meeting the functional requirements for a contemporary school library.
